Yay a red carpet event! I was slightly excited by this prospect.

Many celebritires there looking fabulous amd not so fabulous but the sight of so many dresses has pleased!

MISS!

Sophia Bush is dull brown, tricky to pull off on the red carpet and not a very exciting dress. such a shame from her.
Is it orange? Is it yellow? At first I was like WOW but not i'm unsure. what do you think?

The Worse dress of the all, she looks like a present!

Miss Page - a tad too boring for such a glamourous event! She is new and quite young so she is forgiven for playing it safe!

Cate Blanchett opted for a floor length gown keeping her five month pregnancy bump under cover. The expectant mom – and double nominee – is dazzling in a Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquière draped bustier dress with multi-colored silver embroidery and Roger Vivier sandals.
Even with clouds looming over the red carpet, America Ferrera proves gray can be gorgeous. There's nothing ugly about this Betty or her lacy Monique Lhuillier gown

Eva Longoria Parker looks as good coming as she does going in this slinky Naeem Khan draped dress. Nothing 'Desperate' about this girl
One of my favourites from the night! Kate Hudon sparkled in a dazzling floor length silver number Roger Vivier clutch and empire waist Balmain gown.
Marcia Cross knows just how to brighten up a rainy day red carpet, taking a dazzling stroll in a marine-colored Monique Lhuillier gown.
Another one of my favourites, a dress I would wear myself - French actress Marion Cotillard brings a little "ooh la la" to the States, floating down the carpet and to the top of the best-dressed heap in this ethereal Nina Ricci gown.

Amanda Bynes - The Hairspray actress is a modern princess in her beaded Marchesa, Jimmy Choo sandals, Kwiat diamonds and loose braids. Fashion Ivy will be pleased she has done something different with her hair! I love this dress my favourite overall lokk of the night!

Out and About

This week has been a somehwat depressing week with everything thats going on! However quite a few people have been out looking fabulous in spring trends.

Diane and Josh, daine looks even more fantastic in that floral dress next to josh is black outfit. shame he couldnt wear colour but it lets diane shine. She has most fabulous style the more I see of her the better! She has been seen quite a bit in Paris this week. Black dress below with yellow shoes as i have said before I love black dress with coloured shoes. The fur coat over the over adds that edge. Simple white dress with bare legs and grey shoes, loose wavy hair and long tassle necklace is beautiful detail. Jessica Alba following the one shoulder trend and this springs favourite colour yellow.
Lauren from the Hills - she bought her first house this week in L.A I love the black outfit i'm not sutrei f its a tshirt and full skirt or a dress does anyone know? She has quite classic L.A style with her chanel bag and oversized sunnies. I think both outfits could do we a little something to make then unique.
Rihanna with her new cropped hair, I really liked her bob before esp when it was soft and curly. She can pull this off though. I would what Josh Hartnett thinks.

Sienna Miller around the streets of London, it has been sooo cold this week esp with the wind. She certainly likes to use her scarfs for a range of things belts, hats etc. very creative.


Kylie looks stunning in long purple dress, again another celebe follows the off the shoulder trend. The sheer material makes her look sexy even though shes mostly covered up!

The BEST outfit of the week, Lucy lui at the Valentino Couture shows! What a statement dress.
Miss barton with her newly blonde hair - did i say this last week?! who knows. I prefer her brunette. Wearing the same scarf has Miss Miller with a rock tshirt and jeans. Black shift dress detail, this outfit is a bit boring! I am loving her white dress, again with teh one shoulder style. Not sure about the matching white earrings tho. I love the style but white and white is too matchy matchy.



Rachel Bilson - coming out of the salon with new hair although it doesnt look any different to me. I really love her leather jacket. Red beanie hat bring a bit of colour to the outfit below. I would love to see what she is wearing under her coat as I am intrigued by the flash of blue.

Hilary Swank in a dress i do not like, she looks like a coat hanger in it. are her shoulder really that wide? This dress does her no favours. I would like to see it on someone else with a little more softness about them and her in a dress that flatters her body shape. Whoever told her she looks good in this should be sacked.
Miss Moore, i would of never expected this look from hera nd I really like it. Its very different for her and Its nice to see someone else in the ysl dress other than kate moss.
Sophia Bush - is there a new one tree hill or something else shes in out? or is she doing the round to be seen for work? I am intrigued by why she is everywhere of all a sudden. Not that I am complaining she does have great style. I adore her red shoes with her jeans in the second picture.

SJP with husband looking casual but well put together. I love the pearls around her neck.

Mrs Prinze, I love black and white together and her mix of it in two styles really goes well together.
Blake whats her name. I have never seen gossip girls i'm not even sure its on in england? I love her yellow coat but not keen on her dress. it looks a bit wedding dress/bridesmaid dress esque to me.

Oh Selma where have you been? I wish we saw more of her. Love the dress but I wouldnt expect anything else.
Same colour dress as Sarah Michelle Gellar wore last week, starting a mirco trend for this colour.

Star Style

I actually wrote this before Heath Ledger died on tuesday. I saved it in drafts to publish later and then when everything happened I wasnt quite sure what to do with it and left it. My heart goes out to her and her daughter and heath ledgers family. I was shocked when I heard on tuesday night to hear that such a great young actor have died so suddenly. I am not sure If its right still to continue with this post but I thought I would as I mean no harm. I did have picture of her and Health in this post but now somehow it feels wrong to comment.

What made me think of Michelle Williams was seeing her on set in Sweden and I thought, we havent seen much of her over the winter and I love her summer style. I shall be channelling her great style thsi summer. I love her short hair brunette or blonde.

Checked top and black shorts - She really does have the best summer style.

I was going to end with " I look forward to seeing her this summer in a range of outfits" but under the circumstances I just hope she gets through everything the best she can.

Airport Chic

There seems to be a rush of airport celebrities at the airport recently, lucky them jetting off to sunny climes. What I always find intersting is what they wear to the airport! Comfort is the major issue along with must have sunglasses and a scarf or pasmia.

Katherine - I am not a fan of the glasses or the chav scarf but I am a fan of her bright oversized bag, definatley brings interest to an outfit! Cam - not a fan of double denim in any outfit but the bag is Chanel! Like Sienna below - double bag to fit in everything!
Gisele - casual with the aim of comfort!
SJP and family - again i love her oversized bag carrying all essential items no doubt!

Vanessa - I love the chunky boots its such a shame they are in white. Long gardigan cardigan jeans and scarf are a very good airport look, the sunglasses are any celeb must have.

Scarlett - I love the tribly hiding her hair and white sunglasses, bringing her outfit together with style! However her jeans look slightly uncomfortable for traveling in! I hope they are comfortable for her sake!
Sienna and Rhys - Cropped black jacket with casual top and skinny jeans. when one bag isnt enough there is always another arm for a second! I love how rhy is carrying all the luggage! He is looking chic with over the body satchel
Rachel - Long green coat with brown boots and over the body bag! She looks comfortable casual, where are her sunglasses?! Love this look!

I do love her style so much and shes so pretty, I wish i could dislike her but i cant. She looks fabulous on the cover on this months GQ and not a tarty way in a classic funny way! She has used her humour to look sexy and I like that! I think she looks amazing in her red white and blue bikini and she is small and tiny bout it looks natural for her shape and size. i wish I had arms like hers! I also love how from the cover to the pictures inside she only changed her shoes fron red heels to red wedges! Its all about the shoe.

Not only does she look great in the magazine but she has looked great out and about in the last week. I am not a fan of the denim jacket but as Coco's tea party showed its an inexpensive fashion for those who can pull it off. I much prefer her in the second picture, leather jacket yellow mustard scarf chic white shirt and black skinnies and i love the bag and shoes! What do you think? the glasses finish off the look in both pictures! keep up the good work Rachel, i hope she doesnt have a stylist I much prefer celebs to pick thier own clothes!

Out and About

Again this week many many celebs have been out and about looking stylish as ever. Some I am getting slightly sick of seeing (yes you katie homles) and some I am glad to see back on the red carpet (welcome back Miss Lohan) others just seem to be round every so often and pop up wearing amazing clothes. It must be hard work looking good all the time.

Rihanna looking very toned in simple shorts and vest, the hat adds a bit of interest, I particularly like the coloured band around the hat.

Jennifer Garner in midnight blue, simple earrings and a clutch adds to the chic style.


again I dont know who this is? if someone could tell me i would be gateful but I like her style. the frills edge adds a small detail.
Love love love! I love her hair plaited and messy bun, the colour is so cheerful and bright compared to a lot of black and white this week. Sarah Michelle Gellar (or is it prinze?) looks amazing.
Amy winehouse shows us her hair withut a scarf. I quite like it, its fizzy and static but still its crazy and so is she so it suits her. I much prefer it pinned back with a scarf though. Still using eyeliner. I'm not sure what she is wearing come back johnny depp tshirt!

Miss Belle is a stunning floral number! Another one shoulder dress ptroving they really is a trend amount celebs.
Blake i'm not sure abouther this dress, its juts a little too much i dont think she could pull it off, ive like to see it on someone else. maybe mary kate olsen, she does long and black well.

Mandy More and Sophia Bush I normally love strips but mandy moore looks quite big esp next to Sophia Bush. As much as a love high waisted this lacey number is a big old granny for me taste but she does pull it off.

Milla looking beautuiful, I love the shoe detail. black tights and black shoes anyone can pull off black tights and coloured shoes looks so much better with the right outfit!

Ashley Simpson in bright coloured coat and oversized clutch! I love her hair this colour as well. I hope we see more of her as she has an interesting style!

Kate Walsh in a stunning dress, i'm not keen on the front and I know I couldnt pull it off but i think she does. I love the back.

Sophia Bush seems to have graduated from fashion school and found her style or at least a stylish! Showing off the very trendy one shoulder dress, its a shame her face is a shade lighter than the rest of her body in the close up. I would of liked to have seen more exciting shoes with her black dress.

Ashley Olsen can she do no wrong. I love the clutch and leather jacket to mix up the outfit. Black and white was seen on many throughout the white. I love how they all have thier own unique black and white combination. Most of all Rachel Zoe with her ruffled skirt and black corset top. A simple white dress, I love winter whites it looks so beautiful and reminds me of snow. With so many black and/or white dress amy smart stood out in her red dress, again casual dress for a smart event.

Cloverfield premiere

The hills cast have been out this week in full force at a L.A. premiere of Cloverfield held at the Paramount Studios Lot on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Even Kristin Cavallari was out, laterly she seems to have popped up. I never liked her on laguna beach. I do like her dress though.

Miss Lohan welcome back to the life of gliz and glam. She was out for the first time in a while looks great in body con dress and masses of blonde curls. Thank god for that I was wondering what was happening to her else after seeing this picture below of her is leggings again and a bad wig.

Out so much this she must be knackered.

I love this red coat and brave lady looks chic with bare legs but it pulls off the outfit. the coat is everything.

Wearing a trench coat twice, I like the first time better however i do not like matchy matchy shoes sunglasses with the first outfit and shoes with the second. she could of wore some amazing shoes but she picks the same as her coat. I'm not loving her hair either. Come back hair of last week. its too "done" I do not like it. what do you think? am i missing something here?

I like the colour yet why is it so baggy on her? everything is too big! Come on Kate just as I was getting to like your clothes you go and do this! Her hair looks slightly better in thsi picture though.

Congrats To KT Tunstall for her engagement! Again another bright coloured block coat! Beyonce, I really like her gold shoes in this pictures however I am not a fan of her darker hair. Bring back the blonde or at least the brown!

They say its all down hill from 30 but that certainly isnt the case. Kate was on top form last night as she hit the town for her 34th birthday. The Queen of the London party scene know how to throw a party. Face painting was the order of things with a star theme. Kelly Osbourne and Davina Taylor also opted for the star theme.

The New Bond?

Is Gemma Arterton the new Bond? Having watch St Trinians I think she could do we being in something where she plays a older woman (her own age) rather than a school girl. I would like to see more of her and what she wears and she looks like she could develop a great sense of style. I love the bowler hat ok its been done before but not by many. I do like her hair and that orange dress! Couldnt find many pictures of her though!

This week many have been out and about most looking good a few not so good!

Victoria and Davis Beckham below - I know yellow is a big thing for spring/summer 08 but this is too much! Too yellow and frankly nothing goes with them boobs! Flowery bright yellow dress! so wrong! David looks very swish thoughVanessa Hudgens - I like her style casual and glam. Not sure about her hair in the first casual photo though or the mix of winter scarf with summer top. Must be an LA thing.

Lindsey Lohan, has she had had her lips done? She looks odd in teh face, she also needs to take styling tips from Miss campbell about community service outfits!
Paris Hilton - Why is she carrying two bags? where the hell is she going that needs that much stuff? Her outfit isnt great either maybe the bags are to cover it up!
Sunglasses have been out this week in many colours. Much talk of the sunglasses for 2008 has been mentioned will either of these bright styles be the most popular?

Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards - all three looking beautiful. I just love Drews dress its so pretty and chic!

Amy Winehouse goes blonde! I am still not sure about this. I didnt like her hair before but Karl certainly did by the look of his pre fall show maybe thats why shes changed it! I swear she must be ball at the back, has anyone seen her hair down and styled in the last two years? i do love her retro Johnny Depp tee tho!
Lilac - my wanted item at the moment! I love Amandas dress so on trend!
Lucy Liu looking amazing in McQueen dress. I do not like the gloves though but she took them off pretty quickly. They work with the coat/cape but not alone with the dress.

Two dull outfits from Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessica Alba, its the first time ive seen Jessica Alba not in gym colthes since she said she was having a baby. However how fabulous does Anna friel look? I lov her outfit!

I cant say I normally notice the Dsqaures ads but I really like this one. The long think glossy limps, bikinis high impact and heels!

Jimmy Choo - again long brown glossy limps with bright colour making the shoes stand out beautifully!

Armani - checked and safri look going on here, i'm not sure what i feel about this advert.

Love the Burberry adverts, much better than the black and white ones from before. I have seen a couple of these and I love the expression on the models faces.

Kate Moss - is she in more ads now or is it just me? I actually Like the DKNY underwear ad much more. I think maybe because I like simple and I like dkny underwear.

I Cant decide what t think about these adverts either, soft colour, floaty clothes, I loved the Cavalli collection but somehow they is just something weird about these, I think maybe its the plaited hair.

I love this MaxMara ad, its so simple! I do wish they was colour though!

From simple creams white and blacks to bright colour the new ads are now which can only mean the clothes in the shops will follow and bring on spring! after a cold winter i am ready for spring! I love the new season its all changed so much in the last year or two and I do love the feminine clothes coming out.

Music Fashion Part one

I admire this band and thier style whilst on and off stage, on stage a flambount side of their usual style. Ths band from Leeds (where i am from) have a cool style, all unique in the band but all very good. They are called Dead Disco and have good tunes and good style. I have been to see them twice and they have a pretty good atmosphere but I am not good at discussing music and can not do them justice discussing their music. Their style though is very good and I felt I must show a few of there pictures, to spread the word that these guys know clothes! I love the big hair, big make up, fantastic clothes. Irina - My Favourite Model

Fabulous style, friends and hair!

I am not sure why she is my favourite expect i love everything about her. How can I put this into words. I love her fringe, as use to have one the same until i started to grow it out last sept (is this a mistake as kate moss seem to have brought fringes back in, in Oct?) I am brunette, I have long hair.

Oh and did i mention I love Pete Doherty! I do NOT mean this as a fancy him, yuk n. Hes just cool, his iodea of a good night is to get so wreaked you can remember any of it, sweat as you can possibly be and drift through to the next night. No staying in and watching corrie and having an early night. A Living for the moment kind of life. The kind i would like to lead abit like being a rich student qho doesnt mind failing their degree and being a student forever! Seen as i am a student, one who does go out as much as possible and get wreaked makes me feel that i could possibly be friends with these people, they seem human. However I am a student TEACHER - boom teacher, my coolness just plumitive down to a geeky, cheerful smiley non-sexual childrens tv presenter status. I should of been a student photographer, fashion designer, fashion writer, music or graphic designer. Anyway a little off track. Relatable is the key.

Maybe this is why i like her, shes cool. she has cool friends, dresses cool and I dream that we have things in common. I love mens boots with dresses as she seems to pull off so well. I love love to drink. She isnt perfect, she has flaws, she looks scruffy. A scruffiness that is easy to pull off than a polish perfect lipstick wearing women such as Dita Von Tesse etc. I could not pull of perfection. Anyway I have a few of my favourite pictures and outfits together here in honour of irina and her fabulous style.

Blazer

Fashion has gone all classic and in the auturm and winter shows the trusty blazer jacket was big news and now continuing on in sprimg summer 08 its even bigger news so i thought it time i bought one, now how the hell do i style it from winter to spring through to summer? I am not one to wear something everyday for a month and then get bored, it shall be an item choosn and worn when styled right and needed.








A everyday staple the jacket is the perfect mix of mannish tailoring and feminine glamour. Many styles were on the catwalk and i love the floral skirt, tee and blazer as designed by Lurella. This is my indpriation for wearing it. how would you wear one any ideas?
